The Radiology Department strives to provide the highest quality service, diagnosis, therapy, and training in direct support of the active duty forces, retirees and their beneficiaries. We are an integral part of the health care team supporting the needs of the inpatient and outpatient departments and clinics belonging to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. We continue to pursue advances and innovations in the field patient imaging and treatment.

All staff Radiologists are board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology with subspecialties in Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatric Radiology and in Vascular & Interventional Radiology.

We also offer a comprehensive four-year diagnostic radiology residency program designed to provide the resident with broad-based experience in all forms of radiologic examination. We are affiliated with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Eastern Virginia Medical Center and other local facilities in the Tidewater region, such as Children's Hospital of the Kings' Daughters (pediatric radiology), Riverside Regional Medical Center (interventional radiology), and Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (Level I trauma/neuro and body imaging).
