Online Appointment Booking

Making an appointment with your Primary Care Management via the Internet is now available for Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Beneficiaries. As a TRICARE Prime or TRICARE PLUS enrolled beneficiary, you can now book an appointment online with your Primary Care Manager. To enroll in the TRICARE Online appointment system and activate your account, click on the link below and select site registration. Branch Health Clinic Boone Patrons:
The pharmacy will be fully operational on January 13, 2009. We will be able to fill all new prescriptions including hard-copy civilian prescriptions and all refill prescriptions beginning on this date. Thank you for your patience during our renovation.


Realignment of BHC Boone’s military acute care services

In order to provide the best patient care with a customer service focus, BHC Boone is realigning our Military Acute Care (MACD) and after hours clinic services. Along with the process change is the name change from MACD to Immediate Care.  The new Immediate Care Clinic will include Active Duty Sick Call Monday through Friday 0700-1200, as well as the Immediate Care clinic Monday through Saturday from 1300 to 1900, which is open to all active duty and enrolled Tricare Prime beneficiaries. 

Patients with an acute illness will no longer have lengthy wait times; we will work hard to ensure maximum patient access and attempt to make each patient a same day appointment.  If a nurse or provider determines that your condition or symptoms are non-acute, you may be given an appointment with a primary care provider.

Immediate Care appointments can be made by:

  1. calling the clinic call center at 953-8351, option 4, option 1
  2. or by calling the Tricare appointment line, 1866-MIL-HLTH. 

Patients will be able to get in and out of the clinic in a more timely manner. The change from a ‘walk-in clinic’ to a clinic with ‘open access’ appointments will allow us to more evenly distribute patient demand throughout operational hours and decrease the wait times to 15-20 minutes.  We will monitor the impact of the change to ensure access to care standards are continuously being met.  This will go into effect April 1, 2008. 

Primary Care will remain open Monday through Sunday 0700-1900.  Thank you for your continued support of the mission for BHC Boone.
