OB Clinic

Hours of Operation:
0730-1600 Monday - Friday

Appointments: All new appointments are made through the TRICARE Call Center at 1-866-645-4584.

Description of Services: Currently, this clinic is limited to obstetrical services. Please do not bring children into the clinic.

Note: During renovations, the OB Clinic is temporarily located at TPC Chesapeake

Immunization Clinic

Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday 0700-1500 (last checkin) / 1530 (last vaccination)
Wednesday 0830-1500
Yellow Fever only given from 1300-1400 on Thursday

Description of Services: THIS IS A WALK-IN CLINIC for ALL beneficiaries. Military in uniform has HEAD OF THE LINE PRIVLEDGE.

  • To receive immunization, patients must check in to medical records and bring their yellow shot card.
  • Allergy immunotherapy patients must have Allergist immunotherapy orders.
  • Only children receiving services should be brought to the clinic.
  • PPD's are given most days and have to be read 48-72 hours after placement. Due to the requirements, PPD's can not be placed on Thursdays.

Commands with Operational Deployment needs, please contact the clinic to make convenient arrangements. If your command has a group of five or more we can schedule Yellow Fever on any day. Please call.

Occupational Health

Hours of Operation:
0730-1600 Monday - Friday

Description of Services: Services provided are Medical Surveillance Exams, Preplacement Exams, Annual Physical Exams, Hearing Conservation Program, and job related illnesses/injuries

Note: Walk-in hearing tests for active military personnel will be conducted from 0700-1100 and 1300-1400, on Mondays and Tuesdays, depending on construction noise level.

Optometry

Hours of Operation:
0630-1530, Monday-Friday
- Closed 1200-1300

Description of Services: Routine eye examination for glasses by appointment only. To schedule appointments call the TRICARE Call Center at 1-866-645-4584.

Note: We will do routine eye exams for active duty only. All other beneficiaries must use network options.

Preventive Medicine

Hours of Operation:
0700-1600 Monday - Friday

Description of Services:The Preventive Medicine Department operates on a walk-in basis. The department provides patient counseling and disease and contact investigations.

The department maintains liaison with State Health Officials in support of various communicable disease control programs to include:

  • Tuberculosis
  • Sexually Transmitted Diseases
  • Animal bite and Rabies Prevention
  • Hepatitis
  • Pediatric Lead Poisoning Prevention
  • Food borne Illness concern investigations

In addition, the department provides Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health support to all activities and personnel located on NAB, Little Creek. Routine services include, but are not limited to:

  • Health and Sanitation Surveillance Inspections of Food Service Facilities
  • Recreational and Living Spaces
  • Child Development Centers and Child Development Homes
  • Disease vector surveillance
  • Bacteriological monitoring of potable water supply systems, ice, swimming pools, and beaches
  • WBGT/Heat Stress monitoring
  • Influenza Vaccination Program

Education and training required to support the above programs are provided to base commands/personnel as required or requested.

Overseas Screening / EFMP

Hours of Operation::
0730-1530   Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
0830-1530   Wednesday 
0730-1200   Friday
(No appointments required) 

Description of Services: Overseas & Remote location of transfers, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SCREEN ARMY, AIR FORCE OR COAST GUARD MEMBERS.

EFMP screening is done M - F as well, during normal working hours.

It will normally take 30 days for family members of the sponsor to complete. Bring your records and a copy of your orders and any dental records available for family members.  In addition, A WELL person check-up is required during the year, if needed we will make that appointment for you.

Please Note:

  • EFMP takes longer to process and the prospective gaining command has the right of first refusal.
  • PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE to get started on your screening. If your screening is started at another command, they will have to complete said screening, Boone will not override another command screening
